Adjusted SST from the observations selected within ± 3 days around the current day and sampled on a 0.1°x0.1° grid.

sensor bias monitoring

Global SST bias monitoring (monitored sensor minus reference sensor at the colocated points for each day): 

  • in solid blue, time series of the bias between the sensor raw sst (without any correction applied) and the reference sst
  • In green, time series of the bias between the sensor sst (with SSES correction as provided in L2 files) and the reference sst 
  • in red, time series of the bias between the adjusted sst (with SSES correction and intercalibration adjustement) and the Odyssea optimal interpolation
  • the histogramm plots the number of sensor/reference match-ups available each day

Estimated correction

The estimated large scale bias between the monitored sensor and the reference.

Residuals


Residuals map and histogram. These residuals corresponds to the SST observations from the current day minus the analysed SST of the current day before applying the correction.
