Sea Surface Temperature data from infra-red and micro-wave sensors

Sea Surface Temperature (SST) is one of the most basic yet important oceanographic parameters, that quantifies exchanges between ocean and atmosphere. Knowledge of SST distribution all over the globe is possible thanks to satellite measurements. AVHRR SST on 16 June 2004

Sea Surface Temperature products are provided to Mersea by the European Regional Data Analysis Center (Eu-RDAC) for :

  • European area
  • Atlantic area
  • Global area

and by CNR-ISAC-GOS  for Mediterranean area

new : merged high-resolution Atlantic products are now also available, check in the products page.
